Trichomania Solid Shampoo Review

I recently hopped on the coconut oil bandwagon and have instantly been drawn in. I have never really been a fan of coconuts until I started my transition to veganism when I changed cow's milk over to coconut milk. This then gave me the confidence to try coconut oil and I now use it on my tattoo and to remove make up but can also be used for many other uses. When I saw this product in Lush, I wasn't too interested as it's simplistic colour didn't stand out against the brightly coloured shampoo bars. However, when I did pick it up, I was instantly hooked. The smell of this product is beautiful; it has a strong coconut smell produced by the creamed coconut and desiccated coconut use within the product. I picked up a piece with the knowledge that coconut is brilliant for your hair to moisturise and when I tried it, I had found one of my favourite shampoo bars, alongside Gentle Lentil shampoo bar.

After using hair dye on my hair for many years, I definitely needed something that would help the condition of the dyed hair and to maintain the condition of the regrowth and the product has definitely done that. It has conditioned my hair without leaving it with a greasy or silicone-like feel to the hair and it has also taken away any excess grease that was on my hair and scalp.

Creamed coconut and desiccated coconut are known for extremely moisturising the hair and as well as this, the beautiful smell is just an added extra. I thought that because of how moisturising the coconut would be, that maybe the product would not be suited for my hair as it isn't in need of too much moisturising. However, I was happy to find out that it was moisturising enough and helped lift away excess grease.

I found that with this shampoo bar, it is a bit more softer than the other bars due to how conditioning the shampoo actually is. Although, saying this, the product lathered very well and I didn't have to use too much to saturate the roots of my hair. It wasn't a completely bubbly lather, it was a very conditioning lather.

I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a conditioning shampoo as an extra moisturiser before conditioning making this product perfect for those who suffer with a sensitive or dry scalp.
